Just another D-Land refugee, searching for the land of milk and honey…

Interests: Reading, knitting, music, the seashore, sleeping.

Music: Bright Eyes: “Love’s an excuse to get hurt. And to hurt. Do you like to hurt? I do, I do. Then hurt me.” Linkin Park, Hole, The Shins, The Clash, Radiohead, The Beatles (Of course!) Nirvana, Pearl Jam (“Black” is one of my all-time favorite songs.) Many more – too many to mention.

Movies: Fiddler on the Roof – Tevye: “If I bend that far, I’ll break!” Monty Python and the Holy Grail – Dennis: “Help! Help! I’m being repressed!” Rocky Horror Picture Show – Frank N. Furter: “I see you shiver with antici………………………………………………………..pation.” The Wizard of Oz – Cowardly Lion: “What makes the Hottentot so hot?” Bye Bye Birdie – Hugo Peabody: “This town is awfully square for a cat like me.”

Books: Favorite authors: Toni Morrison/Ann Tyler/Alice Hoffman/Amy Tan/Jane Smiley/etc. – Not chick lit, but lit by chicks. Stephen King – Escapism from the horror of real life. John Irving – Quirky. Fyodor Dostoevsky – Thank you, Mrs. Dowd! (10th grade English teacher who introduced me to Dostoevsky’s work) Pat Conroy – Dysfunction rules!

Other than that, the only thing I have to say about myelf is: “I yam what I yam.”

    Hello,
we would like to ask for your help and please participate in our online survey
    “The everyday blogger”.

    http://www.everydayblogger.uni-bremen.de/

We are interested to hear from all bloggers about their blogging activities and details around the digital domestication.
As part of our master thesis we investigate for a visual documentary film of user cases. This research is being conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Heidi Schelhowe at the University of Bremen in Germany and developed by us, Danny Barrantes and Ina Pruegel, master students in “digital media”.
Once you finish, you will be offered the opportunity to become a possible candidate for the documentary film. This is voluntary and we’ll be more than happy for you to participate.
Please forward this link as well to other bloggers, so as many people as possible can take part.

Thanks in advance for your help
    Ina and Danny

Like many of your interests. It truly doesn’t get any better than “Bye Bye Birdie” :-)…you gotta be sincere!

  3. I really like a lot of your music. Bright Eyes is awesome, especially their first cd.

    Hi,

I’m going to be starting a blog on Dental health with my boss. Could I possibly link to your blog?

Sure, Lisa, but I’m not sure why you’d want to link to my blog…?

You are quite secretive about you. Not bad though.

By the way, I love that sketch on the top banner of your blog. What does it tell?

    Hi
I just happened to come accross a picture of your rash when searching on google. I have had something that looks very similar for almost two months now, my doctor isn’t helping at all. What did it turn out to be? did you manage to get rid of it? I would really appreciate your help.

I was wondering where you found someone to do dry needling? I had it done in Holland but live in NYC. It really seemed to help. I have a multitude of issues.
    Thank you.
